I was looking for a light weight down and this fit the bill. It was for a guest bedroom. Everyone sleep’s different, some cold and some hot. Now that it is summer I’ve folded and placed at the base of the bed to be pulled up if the air conditioning gets too cold. This last winter it was reversed, main coverage and the lighter weight bedspread for extra warmth. Not as thick as I had hoped, closer to a thick mattress cover. Not much different from a down blanket, really. Still, it’s a great deal for something that is great for your health due to it being hypoallergenic and good for your skin! It’s basically a nice topper for firming up a foam mattress, or adding a hypoallergenic layer overtop something that’s not rated as being very “green”. We first tried this over a firm latex pad, and it did not add much noticeable improvement in thickness or softness. Next, we tried this down pad over a 2 inch thick foam pad, and it made all the difference! I am not at all a fan of foam pads. However, using this topper over the foam pad makes the foam less susceptible to sinking! Love it!
