Quality of wood is good, can’t really complain. It is easy to be assembled. The two pieces of feedback are: 1. The back panel wood came in arched and it made it hard to fit into the other panels. These decorative books are good for what I was looking for, a good addition for easy decorating. I did think they would be a little higher quality, but they are fine for what I’m using them for. They arrived flat, and you fold them into shape. They are a thick cardboard and there is an attached tape piece that you use to stick the final piece in place. I was thinking they would open and close and you could store things in them, but it’s not exactly that. You can open it from the bottom but you would have to shake out whatever you store in there. I’m really pleased with these bookends. They are solid and heavy, which keeps my books upright without sliding around. The marble look is beautiful—soft neutral tones with subtle veining that makes them feel elegant and high-end. They also arrived very well packaged, with plenty of protection so there was no damage at all. The design is simple but modern, and the round sphere detail adds a nice sculptural touch.
