The bed I received did not come with bottom slats and the instruction manual did not show bottom slats but the description and photos say it does. Would have been 5 stars if things were labeled a little better. Two pieces were labeled wrong which alone took almost 10-15 minutes for me to figure out and the directions were missing numbers for which pieces to use. Other than that it took about 3 hours to build by myself. It probably would’ve gone quicker with 2 people. New purchase and will have to follow up on durability however it seems sturdy thus far (first use was last night and no issues - I slept on lower with both kids). Giving 45 due to just one use thus far and that. Came in three boxes with only a tiny bit of damage on one of the trundle storage drawers. Was nice that it came with two sets of directions so that the two of us were both able to reference things at the same time. Not sure if we are extremely slow or if it’s because we were working in a 10x10 room but this took us over 3 hours to put together. There are a few parts in the directions that were a bit difficult to see the details on the photos or they just weren’t referenced and are super important later on - specifically the holes on the bottom piece of the ends to the full which is one of the first things you put together - needs to line up with the curve so that the ladder can be placed properly - also the that whole part in relation to the stoppers for the trundle so that you have the trundle and ladder in the correct places. The stoppers aren’t stained and do show when the bed is put together - not a dealbreaker but a bit annoying. Doesn’t come with spare parts so make sure you’ve got a box - does come with Allen keys but they aren’t in the first bag you use. We did a final tightening on everything once in place and is sturdy. Great bunk bed for the price! Initially, I was thinking of giving it four stars, but considering the value, it deserves five. Assembly does take a bit of time since there are many parts, but that’s expected with a piece like this. The outside of the under-bed drawers is unfinished, as shown in the photos, so I’ll be painting those in gray to match the bed. It’s very sturdy, and overall, I’m happy with it. We were missing a bolt or two but easily found replacements in our garage with so many parts, it’s possible they were there, and we just missed them! One small support board had a minor crack around a drill hole, but it didn’t impact the structure. Just a note—this bed is best suited for a standard-depth mattress, not a pillow-top.. Julie. FL.
