I was happy to find these shades for our patio. Hadn't had much luck except to order custom made at three times the price! I wish these were offered in shorter lengths....96 x 96 is 3 feet longer than the openings on my patio, but we can unroll them to the floor at almost 8 feet, or just leave them at the top of our brick wall and have extra fabric on the roll. Cords Free Tear Down Light Filtering Window Roller Shade is a customizable, light-filtering roller shade perfect for any window in the home or office. Made of soft, easy-care, micro-ridged vinyl that will cleanly tear down to the desired width. Its telescopic roller has a cardboard insert underneath the vinyl fabric that is perforated at every half inch. The shade’s plastic handrail is also scored at half-inch increments to snap down to the new width of the shade without any additional tools. To operate simply raise or lower the handrail.

They were fairly easy to install. We did have to loosen a screw on the mounted hardware pivot it slightly to be able to get the rod into the hardware’s mounting hole bc the recommended 14 inch space from the sill’s top was too tight. There’s a fairly big gap around the edges, as you can see in my pic where the daylight streams from behind the blind, but it’s not a dealbreaker. This is pretty well made and lightweight. It is really dark and will work perfectly on my balcony. I get a lot of sun as my balcony faces wests however, I don't want to block the sun the whole time, so being able to just reach up and roll down the shade will be nice.
