This is by far the best market umbrella I’ve ever owned. I opted for the sunbrella fabric as it’s heavier than the other fabrics I’ve owned in the past (and did not last as long).This umbrella has a bronze colored pole and is operated by a hand crank although it does have an auto tilt feature. The auto tilt is amazing as you slowly keep cranking after the umbrella is fully extended, the auto tilt engages and the umbrella will automatically tilt. Once you start cranking in the opposite direction to close the umbrella, the auto tilt disengages and the umbrella stands upright so you can finish closing it. The only thing I didn't care for was the direction were just photos with no word explanations and the base requires sand. It is a pretty small basse, so luckily I had a larger base to use with it.. Very nice umbrella. Sturdy construction. Perfect size for my patio area. Wish it came with a cover. I’ll have to find something to place over it to preserve it longer when not in use. Also wish the pole was longer. I had to add a 12” spacer to raise it above my BBQ grill when closed. This shouldn’t be an issue for normal umbrella stands, but I have a unique situation.. David. NY.
