These are beautiful, heavy and solid, weight-wise. While the angle hinge works well providing a large variety of angles, there are two issues they may want to work on: 1) A steeper staircase angle means it is difficult to screw the bottom screw into the rail, as screwdriver access is blocked by the ornate iron, and 2) the same up-down hinge that allows the bracket to work on many angles also has some left/right play in it, due to the tolerances not being exact in the iron work. It worked out great!! I decided not to center it because theb I would have had to add 2x4s in the wall. So I just put it in the corner which worked out because I didnt do a custom niche and that had to be put in between the studs size it all aligned.
