The legs measure 9” tall and are made of galvanized steel. Simply write on the tag with the included oil-based paint marker or use your waterproof printable labels. We’ve had the best results using the included marker that is specifically designed for writing on metal and holds up extremely well outdoors. Please let the marker dry for 10 minutes before exposing it to the elements. If you want to change the writing, the marker will come off with rubbing alcohol or fingernail polish remover. I've seen tags with the plant name on the front and the date they planted or received on the back. What a cool idea! Markers come blank with no words or letters on them.
