Putting this together was no joke. That and the inaccurate measurements (see below) are my reasons for taking off a star. I was able to put it together alone but it took 3 days, and a lot of sore muscles, and really should have just asked for help. You ABSOLUTELY need a drill at minimum. The measurements are also off. It is 65” and a hair wide, and at full extension, the bed FRAME alone extends out 88” from the wall and the legs add an additional 2-3”. If you are putting this in a tight space as I was, be sure to note these measurements. The overall quality is however pretty high, especially for the price when I compare to the 3-4k beds I was looking at on other sites. It looks great. But price is so high. Make sure you have brick wall in your house because it is very heavy also no instructions for drywall. I really like the Murphy bed it was delivered on time and was in almost perfect condition. The item had one minor scratch, and it was easy to paint over. The bed was not easy to assemble, but I had help. It looks nice and is easy to lift updown. Overall this is a nice piece of furniture. I'm taking off one star because several of the parts were not labeled and others were not labeled well. In addition, the directions were lacking detail on vital orientation of panels and boards and while the videos of each step provide through QR code were somewhat helpful, they were zoomed out and did not provide the level of detail necessary. This added several hours to the overall installation process as I had to backtrack several times and disassemble. Overall build time was 10-11 hours primarily with one person (directions say some steps require 4 people). 2-3 hours of that time was fixing previous mistakes/missteps. Special note on putting on the pistons on the murphy bed - you have to have the bedframe assembled and in the closed position and access it from the back for it to line up with the bolts (this was not mentioned in directions and couldn't be seen in the video). Comes in 4 boxes, received 2 on one day the other 2 the next day. Really nice set, pretty happy with it. Couple of extras that we are doing to it, the brackets to hold the frame to the wall can be seen when bed is down just going to paint them white to make it less noticeable. The barrel of the hinge for the shelf can be seen when the bed is in the up postion. Definitely need to support the bed frame to the wall and into the studds a must.
