Be prepared for assembly. You'll need the following: spray dish soap for lubrication, a rubber mallet and a phillips-head screwdriver. Fortunately, it's only four screws, the rest is like putting together a Lego set. It just takes some serious pounding with the rubber mallet to get the pieces to go together, and I mean serious pounding. Just fair warning. The dish soap helps to get things going. I just received the ladder. Assembly was simple; less than 10 minutes. The ladder is very sturdy and stable, with large rubber feet and excellent grip in the steps. Although the description states "steel" construction, it omits the weight of ~25lbs. It is heavier than I expected. One other consideration: the handrails screw on in a fixed position...not really "removable" w/o removing 4 screws.
