Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. Really loved this door! Easy to set up and put together. This is the 36" wide x 84" tall door. Had some pretty good weight to it and was more heavy duty than I thought ( in a good way). Very smooth on the track and doesn't stick at all. We personally added more to it by staining a piece of pine and putting that up between the wall and the track to match the shelving in our room. So the board is not necessary, just was for aesthetics. Love the glass on the door so it allows the light to come through when it is shut and keeps the rooms bright vs being a solid door. Good quality for the price. I needed a 4' sliding door for a storage room in my basement. I thought of building one myself, but the price of the materials and hardware would have been highter than the cost of this kit and everything needed came in the box. I put a coat of polyurethane on the parts before assembly. Assembly was straight forward but not easy. It would probably be easier with a smaller door.
