For the past few months, I’ve been updating all the doors in my home, switching them from white to black. This is a decent mirror but wont work for me. I'm not sure what the outer "paintable" material is but it is not what I was expecting. If you have a door way that is even slightly off from the standard measurement, you can't shave it down because of that material. It's plastic like and as you can see from the pictures smudges very easily. Since you have to add hardware, I'm not sure how that would go once cutting into that material. Nice clear mirror though.. This is a great door and exactly as pictured and what I needed for my bathroom linen closet. I haven’t been able to hang it yet due to not having the tool to cut the hole for the door handle and hinges but the door came in perfect condition and is primed nicely.
