This is a decent mirror but wont work for me. I'm not sure what the outer "paintable" material is but it is not what I was expecting. If you have a door way that is even slightly off from the standard measurement, you can't shave it down because of that material. It's plastic like and as you can see from the pictures smudges very easily. Since you have to add hardware, I'm not sure how that would go once cutting into that material. Nice clear mirror though.. Sturdy door and nice quality - the weight of it makes it seem like a pricier door. It is solid but with the mdf outer- well let’s just say be careful your contractor doesn’t place it in a place with standing water. The good news is the swelling that occurs dries out but you have to let it sit for days. The other thing is the primer on it is super glossy and even after sanding isn’t the easiest to paint.
