I did a "remote control" design consultation on the phone for my elderly mother who lives in another State. She had painted her walls a pale green, but had white bedding. She complained that it looked like something was missing. I knew that the real issue was that there was not enough contrast, so I asked her to trust me with the color. She lives in another State, and I know what her taste is. In lieu of painting the walls again, I decided to get a darker green for contrast. It worked. I knew it would. This is nice lightweight quilt, probably best for Spring or early fall, but for a cold night you want want an extra layer. The color is more terra cotta than orange, almost a dusty pink color, and the material is a bit stiff. It’s polyester, and feels like polyester. There's so much to love about this lightweight quilt set...it is a beautiful design and the color of the body is beautiful. It is very soft and would be perfect for most nights in the south. HOWEVER, the color of the trim and the backs of the shams is not as shown in the photos on the online listing! It is a VIBRANT yellow that clashes with the warm gold (with a hint of burnt orange) of the pattern on the quilt. I left it on my bed for a day and evening, trying to accept the clash of colors.
