By reducing surface water absorption, cracking, spalling, pitting, mold, mildew, algae, staining, and other damage and deterioration caused by surface water absorption will also be reduced.

I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. It’s my first wet/dry vac and it did what I thought it would do, and eliminated a few chores per week from my normal cleaning routine. I typically use a broom to sweep several times a day, then vacuum and then use a basic mop with disposable pads every other day. I used this instead of a vacuum and now I only need to use either a real mop or a mop with disposable pads every 1-2 weeks (I have 4 small kids). This machine vacuums perfectly and I love how it works on my big area rug. I think it’s the cleanest it’s ever been. It doesn’t clean up hard or dried on spills super well because you can’t push down hard and muscle it like a mop, but I wasn’t expecting it to. Would be cool though. The machine was perfectly user friendly and all the directions you need are on a card that came on it. It’s easy to clean the dirty water tank, and it’s filthy when I clean it so I know the machine is working. It’s pretty loud so I need to use it when my kids are awake. The chord is long enough I can do a whole floor of my house with it plugged in in one spot, the tray it comes with to store it is one of my favorite parts because it doesn’t drip anywhere. I also LOVED how it gets right up to the edge when cleaning and sucking up crumbs. In that capacity, it’s more impressive than my very expensive stick vacuum. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. When I saw these, I thought of my door brackets. The replacements I used were not black, and it doesn't look very nice. These are beautiful, solid black.
