It is recommended that you wait 24 hours to turn your unit on after it arrives. I went against that recommendation because it was absolutely sweltering in my studio space that had nothing but a fan. I purchased two of these bad boys to cover 1030 ft.² of open space with 18ft ceilings. I met FedEx AT THE DOOR! And they brought them in for me and set each unit at each window I wanted them to be placed. So delivery was smooth and easy. The installation instructions were easy to understand and the units took no more than 10 minutes each to be installed. NOTE: you will need some weather tape to seal off some gaps, but that’s to be expected. It was likely about 90° in my space before I turned them on and these had me feeling much cooler and more comfortable within about 30 minutes (run on medium at 68°) and after about an hour and a half, I didn’t feel the need to run them on medium anymore. They’re pretty quiet on the low fan cool setting, but of course they are louder on medium and high but nothing that will disturb my peace in my studio. having a window AC unit is not the prettiest thing so I can’t speak to aesthetics but I’m very happy with these —my problem has been solved.. It’s important to get the right air conditioner for the job! This unit has 3 cooling and fan speeds and a 24 hour timer to create a cooling schedule. 2-way air deflection lets the flow of air be directed where it's needed most whether cooling, dehumidifying or just circulating air. If there is a power outage, the auto restart feature will automatically turn your unit back on when power is restored. Other features include a remote control, easy window installation kit, removable, washable filter and a check filter alert.

This window AC unit has been a great addition to our home. First things first it is really heavy, so I definitely recommend having a second person help with installation. Once it’s in place, though, it’s absolutely worth it. It cools the room quickly and does a great job maintaining a comfortable temperature, even on warmer days. I also like that it has multiple functions and settings, so you can adjust it to fit your needs rather than just turning it on and off. My only minor complaint is that I wish it were a little smaller, but honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an AC unit that wasn’t bulky! That’s just part of the deal with window units. Through the wall air conditioner is operating using energy-efficient technology will easily cool a room. Guide the air flow as you like with four-way air direction. In the case of a power outage, the preferred air conditioner will memorize and resume at your temperature settings when power is restored.

I am overjoyed this replacement unit seems to work! The temperature hasn't soared yet, so I'll wait until it does to give a proper assessment. At first glance of the packaging though, I felt I was getting a working unit. Box was clean and inside was brand new. There were no dents on the uniot like the first one. There are some good features to this air conditioner. It is lightweight and easy to carry and install into the window. It has several modes and the lowest setting makes very little noise. The "quiet" setting is very quiet. It doesn't give the cold cooling feeling that old air conditioners do and feels more like a central air conditioning system. My windows are non standard wide so I had to adjust the installation recommendations.
