I spent quite some time looking to purchase an aquarium stand or cabinet for a very special custom built aquarium that I inherited from a friend. Many styles and quite the range of prices- into the thousands ! Nothing quite hit the marks either in style or design or weight capacity until I found this one. It’s heavy and will take you some time to assemble.They recommend 2 people- which I don’t have - however, I managed to move the heavy box- I estimate 100 pounds- inside by myself. The directions were long - over 10 pages- but were actually very organized and understandable- shocking!! Working alone and meticulously I was able to complete the assembly - assembly took me roughly 6 hours - building at a leisurely pace- making sure to follow the steps exactly. The stand is a beast - it’s over built with metal supports and legs- overkill amount of bolts holding it together and solid panels framing it all. Rating it at a 1500lb capacity is probably accurate. Awesome little tank. My Betta loves it. Only negative is that the filter doesn't have a low-med-high setting, and it pushes a lot of water for a Betta, so I put the rain trickle arm on and submerged it under the water line so as not to make the water too oxygenated for the Betta and aimed it at the side of the tank so the glass deflects it. I like the cube shape and the sleekness of it! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the top is kind of poor quality and flimsy. I wish the description showed it a bit better before I purchased. The clips that hold up the lid slip and slide. There isn’t really a place for cords and the lid won’t fit with a filter.
