Inspired by a family photo of a Moroccan wedding dress (El-Keswa El-Kbira) this piece is a work years in the making. Engraved in my mind I knew that one day I would incorporate this personal iconic image in my art. My goal was to express the multitude of feelings and memories the dress evokes for me as well a sense of respect and dignity for my heritage. This image represents Moroccan beauty and a culture rich in customs and history. Legacy captures a sense of growing-up in Israel at a time when intra-Jewish racism was escalating and my family's roots needed to be suppressed, and nearly erased for the price of assimilation. After years of living in NYC do I fully understand the importance of celebrating one's authentic heritage, Legacy helped me explore this important question.

Loving this pan so far. Have used for 3 months and it has kept the non stick well. This is a beautiful genuine area rug that is hand knotted by skillful weavers in central Asia with 100% wool material.

Despite the complexity and the sophistication of the design both of the borders and of the field, this entire carpet espouses an intriguing subdued quality throughout. Here is a striking antique rug an antique Tabriz carpet that was woven in Persia around the turn of the twentieth century. Generally speaking, antique Tabriz rugs and carpets are celebrated for their sophisticated compositions, which strongly reflect the most important qualities of Persian City Rugs. This particular antique Persian carpet boasts an especially sophisticated design which relies heavily on an intriguing utilization of monochromatism. The rich series of borders there are no fewer than three large borders, as well as an assortment of inner and outer borders and the field are all colored in subtly contrasting shades of brown. Despite the complexity and the sophistication of the design both the borders and the field, the entire carpet espouses an intriguing subdued quality throughout. A fetching example and this antique Tabriz carpet from Persia showcases the elegance and the sophistication of the finest antique oriental rugs and carpets.
