Bobby Berk is best known as the design guru on Netflix's Queer Eye, but his rise to fame didn't happen overnight. After years in the creative and design field, he leaped to start his brand. Epitomizing hip, minimalist urban luxury, Berk's designs reflect a stylish and youthful spirit that perfectly fits any cool, relaxed lifestyle. In 2006, Berk started his own company and opened his first showroom in lower Manhattan the following year. Years later, in 2015, he launched his LA-based full-service bespoke interior design practice for residential, commercial, and hospitality clientele.

Summers Greenery 1 is reminiscent of American Abstract Expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler who was known for her major contributions to the history of postwar American painting. She developed her distinctive and innovative "soak-stain" technique in the early 1950s by pouring thinned oil paint directly onto a raw, unprimed canvas laid on the ground, allowing the colors to soak into the fabric. Summers Greenery 1, a large-scale, non-representational work on canvas, carries on that method by applying thinned layers of color to achieve both translucency and saturation. A wide swathe of thin paint extends across the top of the painting and has been allowed to drip down the canvas, another hallmark of Abstract Expressionism. Muted tones and pastels in sage, alabaster, and khaki, with splashes of cerulean and mustard, bring forward a contemplative mood in this original work of art on canvas.
