I bought this almost a year ago and had it hanging outside all winter (which, yes, was not smart). A high wind storm ripped it off my siding. It hit a metal coffee table, put a dent the table, and then flew into a snow drift where I found it. IT WAS UNDAMAGED! I just had to replace the hanging hardware. I really like this framed woodwork/artwork combination. Two things to point out and give clarification on for a buyer are the color and the variation in the wood. The background color of this is a very dark charcoal/black/blue. In photos and on the listing it looks Navy blue but in person is it darker. Even in my own photos it looks more blue than it appears in person. It's not a problem and I still really like it but I think it's worth mentioning. If you look at customer images you can see that on the eagle there are knots in the wood. Each one is slightly different so you can expect yours to have those same variations. Finally, as others have stated, it's smaller than it looks in the listing images. I suggest measuring ahead of time so you can visualize it in your space accurately. It is a bit smaller than I thought but I still think it’s quite clever looking. I do really like this carved and rustic deer head. My husband thought it was a Jack-a-lope. Kinda made love it even more. lol. It looks nothing like a Jack-lope but I have an affinity for that critter of my youth and of lore. He is not perfect he is just enough imperfect to make him quirky and fit in beautifully to my home. His nostrils and eyes are a bit off from one another. Gives him personality. He was easy to put together. The ears and rack fit in very snuggly in the slots provided so they do not move. If one wanted to they could use some wood glue and make the attachment more permanent.
