Cute fountain, a bit shorter than I realized. Had some blemishes in the glazing where it looks like someone applied a different material to fix it? The instructions didn’t include a great diagram of the part labeled “leak protector” so I had to find an online instruction manual for a similar fountain from the same company, which used the same part. The pump was a bit unwieldy to position. So far it’s a pleasant sound of water, no drips. Not sure if any birds will use it, I was hoping the sphere on top would attract hummingbirds to bathe. This fountain is stately and beautiful. It took several people to lift the lower portions into place because it is really heavy. Then, the individual bowls had to be leveled separately. Once assembled, however, it was easy to operate. We noticed that in hot, humid weather the water evaporates quickly and we have to keep refilling the bottom bowl. Although it took several months to receive this item, it arrived undamaged because it was packed very well. There were a few blemishes in the finish that did not seem to occur during shipping but left the manufacturer that way. Overall quality is quite good. When assembled, some parts were a bit wobbly, requiring shims to balance things. Assembly instructions for this item were nonexistent. Only general care guidelines were given. Due to the process of chipping the edges, the slate may be slightly irregular in shape and have incomplete corners.
