Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. I plan on redoing the latches on the roosting boxes as they aren’t the strongest and predators “could” get in or my chickens could get out. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. This review is for the automatic chicken feeder & waterer set made by Vevor. This set is on the larger size with the feeder's capacity at 40 pounds and the waterer holds 5 gallons. The set is constructed of a good quality thick plastic with handles and the feeder has round caps that can be taken off in the mornings and replaced at night to keep predators from eating the food. I absolutely love this set with the exception that you have to keep raising the feeder/waterer with the growth of your chickens or they will continue to scratch and waste the food. Otherwise, I have no complaints - just wish they came with a stand. As you can tell from the pictures our chickens are starting to scratch out the food instead of just eating it indicating that it's time we raised them both again. Raising them takes care of it. This is a really nice chicken coop. It did take three people to put it together and took us a total of 5 hours to put together.(older people so took longer) It will fit 6-8 regular chickens but we put 10 frizzle chickens in it with plenty of space for them. (frizzles are less than half the size of regular chickens) The wire around the bottom is great at keeping out predetors but we dug down about a foot and put wire to keep them from digging under.
