Just because it’s easy doesn’t make a job well done any less special. The drop-in Jackson Fireclay kitchen sink offers an easy DIY installation with high-end beauty. But it also offers function: the large single bowl ensures maximum workspace for cleaning bulky or oversized dishes. Our ultra-durable and dense fireclay is fired up to 2100°F and protected with our proprietary finish that safeguards and adds strength.

An attractive sink at a good price. This is a fireclay sink, which means it is fired at a lower temperature than a porcelain sink, but at a higher temperature than a ceramic sink. Higher temps increase hardness and durability. This becomes apparent as this sink will stain if left soiled overnight, unlike a porcelain sink which you can rinse and wipe clean. It is not a big deal as it does come clean with some bleach cleaner and a sponge. I am happy overall. Note: I bought a sturdy stainless steel sink grid, not included, to protect the bottom from nicks and scratches (~$50), which I recommend. Can be used as a trivet or a cooling rack as well.. The built-in ledge holds the included cutting board and saves you space. There are many benefits to fireclay, it is friendly in its need for less cleansers and its natural material. The wide basin is a bit larger than your average sink to maximize use and accommodate even the largest kitchen and bakeware with no problem. Glazed in classic white, this sink is timeless in its styling and unbeatable in its functionality! This is a great sink with nice accessories. You should note that this sink does not come with the wire rack insert that lies at the bottom of the sink. We have never liked those, so it was not an issue for us. You may need to note with your installer that the ledge is meant to hold platform accessories it’s possible that they might not install enough of a gap to accommodate them.
