They feature an adjustable tab designed to eliminate the door slop and chatter of closed doors, and they’re installed with two #8 x 1 in. fasteners included with each package. These latch strikes are used by many to replace most residential interior and exterior door strikes. * Adjustment tip: To eliminate the loose rattling of a closed door, remove the strike plate and bend the tab slightly with a pair of pliers, adjusting left to right as necessary.

This standard T-strike is constructed of solid brass and comes in a classic bronze finish. It can be used on both wood and metal jambs, and it is compatible with most Grade 2 locksets. This security strike meets ANSI A156.2. It features an easy to install design with 2-1/8 in. hole centers. For best results, follow the installation instructions included with each package. This item includes fasteners and 2 strike plates per package. These plates measure 1-7/16 inch wide x 2-1/4 inch tall and have mounting holes 1-5/8 inch on center.

This maximum security combination strike is constructed of stamped steel and it comes plated in a classic bronze finish. It features slightly taller latch and bolt openings to accommodate door hardware spaced from 5-1/2 in. to 6 in. from center to center. This security strike is designed to replace the standard (separate) latch and deadbolt strike plates with a one-piece combo plate and up to 5 more screws for maximum security. Installation of this combo strike repairs and strengthens a locked door with six 3-inch. long screws that attach to the jack/trimmer stud to help prevent kick-ins. Some mortising and pilot hole drilling may be required for flush installation.

Finally a lip strike long enough!! As you can see, the current lip strike has been drilled many times, so there is no more wood to secure the top part.
