I finally broke down and invested in a better vacuum. This thing is amazing! Mostly hard flooring and its highest setting picks up everything- doesn’t blow it around. Lower settings handle even my flat washable rugs and don’t suck them up. The real test? I accidentally sucked up a metal door stopper that had broken and I immediately stopped the machine and took it apart to find the piece. Found it…in the bag. very nice match but sadly had to return. My cabinet doors have a beveled edge which prevented each piece of the latch from from meeting flush in the middle. Thankfully, returns are always very easy with Wayfair! I no longer have the latch but am posting a photo of the cabinet doors so you can see that evidently, the doors need to meet flushly ( no bevel ) for the latch to work.
