They look nice and since the backs are low, don’t overtake the island. The seats are larger than the previous ones, but somehow they feel smaller. They are also shorter. Hard to find something nice that’s 32-34 inches high. At 30 inches you definitely sit a bit lower. I’m a big guy and they are comfortable enough for a meal. Any longer than that and the hard sides dig into your legs. The seats have a wire spring like support, so if you are heavier the seat depresses quite a bit. Putting them together was easy enough. The wood screws on the crossbars were the hardest. Don’t want to tighten too much that it splits the wood, but need to tighten enough so there’s no play in the bar.. Jason. Norco, CA. This bar stool arrived on time and in great condition. It is of high quality and looks very beautiful.. there were no marks or digs in the woodwork. It was very easy to put together. I only gave it a four-star review because one of the screws for the base of the seat would not screw in and it ended up snapping off, and we had to do some rework to get a different screw to work.
