It works for holding single LP's. It is roomy enough inside the frame to hold an album with a sleeve and the magnet used to keep the lid on seems strong enough, but it isn't super strong so you need to make sure nothing is caught while closing the frame. See my picture of it holding an old album that had an album sleeve. The only downside is that the wood used is a little soft and could dent easily, and the acrylic could scratch easily.. Herman. I ordered these album covers to display my vintage music records. The order arrives in a set of two, and are large enough to contain up to twenty albums. They are perfect for my needs. However, although they have the ability to store up to twenty albums, I would not recommend hanging the case up on a wall with them inside. The cover is not made of glass, it’s plastic. The the frame, although beautiful, is a thin light wood. If purchasing for display on a table top, these frame cases will be perfect! If hanging on a wall, only include 3 or 4 inside with some light stuffing behind them. I would have given this case 5 stars if the front were made of glass.
