I think the corrosion is a common occurrence with the bronze finish if you can’t keep them really dry, but not sure why both faucets I ordered are leaking so bad now because of my plumber or the product. This would work well where you are trying to match rougher textured applications such as brick or stone. Unsanded caulk has a smoother finish. Common places to use this siliconized acrylic latex unsanded caulk is against backsplashes in the kitchen, along bathtub surrounds, windows and more. The unsanded tends to be easier to clean because of its smooth surface.
