These were surprisingly easy to assemble and feel very sturdy once set up. The only thing that caught me off guard was needing a few basic tools and about 40 lbs. of sand for the base. These stairs were so easy to put together I was amazed. Just make sure to follow the directions because we put all the stairs in when we were just supposed to put the first one on and we had to then take them all off which was a little trickery.
