With the exception of one assembly step, this was a straightforward one strong person unpacking and assembly. At one point they want you to have the base stood up on its side so that the pillars can be slid through the holes in the bale. I made a support of the shipping boxes to support the then horizontal heavy pillars parallel to the floor while I attached them. ALSO: do the later steps that require you to work at the bottom while the stand is already on its side. The motor runs smoothly but I haven't attached tho 100" screen to it yet—I don't expect that will be a problem. We don’t have a lot of wall space so we don’t have a tv in our living area. I wanted something that would allow me to incorporate a tv when necessary but stow it when not required. I chose this bc it wasn’t expensive. It could have been great had the designer added two holes for cables going from the top where the tv is and below where the 4 outlet strip is. Instead, the cables are exposed and tied down in the back. They could have been channeled down through the stand. Perhaps I can find someone to MacGyver it. Also, in hindsight sight, a shelf below the tv would have allowed for better control of a DVD player by remote. Easy enough to put together in spite of incorrect parts. The physical manual that came with the box showed a slightly different illustration of the back of the mount on the last two pages versus the manual assembly online, which made mounting the TV a bit confusing..
