We specifically bought this bookcase because the description stated the shelves were metal. Upon arrive, however, the shelves were MDF (manufactured wood) which is the very thing we were trying to avoid. Haven't quite had a chance to install this but the shipping was less than desirable. The faces of the stainless did have a protective film that prevented scratches but it had some dents and bends. Luckily I think everything still lines up correctly -- if you care about dents I would maybe go with something else. I don't since I'm going to be putting metal pots and pans on it anyways.. Owen. This dehumidifier keeps my 700 sq foot apartment humidity levels below 50% -- if not on, the humidity climbs to the high 70s! It's not very loud--just a little white noise in the background that doesn't interfere with TV, music, conversations, etc. I do have to empty the tank every day (sometimes 2x), but it's easy to take out and dump in my sink so not a problem. My previous dehumidifier was the smaller version and ran continuously for almost a year, but then stopped working. I was refunded the amount I paid for that one, and in turn bought this one.
