These lights are as described, tall and made of metal. The only ones I have had are the solar plastic ones that didn’t last long at all. These were a great find! I really was looking to include some lighting up to my front porch where its already dark. Honestly, at first when I pulled them out of the box, they seemed super huge, but in the end, I think they will fit well in the space. My front yard is still in the remodel state, with some gravel going in, but I think the photos give you the idea of the space. Only comment is, I wish there wasnt so much styrofoam used in the packaging. Other than that, I havent been able to power them up yet because the order is just lights, not the transformer to power them. I do appreciate the have a good paint finish and seeming construction. These lights look great and add a really nice touch to the landscape. The quality exceeded my expectations, nice light, not overpowering. Assembly was straightforward, and the components fit together easily. Installation was also fairly simple. I had an electrician handle the wiring to ensure everything was done correctly, and the process appeared simple. Depending on your yard and wiring setup, some digging may be required to run the cable, but I was told that this is typical for low-voltage landscape lighting.
