Simply lay the machine on it's side to insert the CO2 canister in through the bottom of the machine and twist clockwise to lock into place. There is a hidden MySmeg Assist QR code under the drip tray lid that will bring you to helpful videos. It comes with 1 Tritan Renew 1 Lt bottle, additional bottles available for purchase. Warning: never carbonate substances other than pure water. Do not add pieces of fruit, vegetables or herbs in the bottle before carbonation.

I love this ice maker! It makes ice very quickly and cubes come out whole instead of in chunks. When I turn it on it makes a batch within minutes. The only downside is it doesn’t hold a lot of ice, so if I need a larger quantity I have a container my freezer that I can fill, also very quickly. At first I was concerned that there is no access to the ice because my old ice maker used to jam up, however, I have had no issues so far. The water dispenser is also a nice feature. It still has a plastic-like taste, but that should go away. The ice has no taste, just clean & clear. One of the major benefits is that it uses a water line which I have an inline filter attached to so there’s no need to fill it up all the time.
