I ordered two of these stools. The box was quite large, but the packaging was amazing! You will want to curse at the company as you unwrap styrofoam and plastic, however, they did an amazing job of protecting both the seats and the bases. Really impressed! Putting these together was a bit harder than it should have been - mostly because the screws are short and it is very difficult to catch the thread. I thought about getting longer screws but persevered and they do work. Might help to screw them in without the washer first - to figure out placement - then try. Once you get one in on each side it is easier - but t can take some time. Other than that it was very easy!! These look gorgeous and they truly are just what I was looking for. Bought these in "Cream" for my new kitchen Island. In the pictures, they look cream; unfortunately, they are greige, and quite a dreary/dirty greige at that. I am adding photos, and one with a piece of cream fabric on the seat for reference. Wayfair is asking me to pay $35 for return shipping, which is surprising and quite disappointing. I don't think they should advertise a product color as "cream " when it is a dingy grey/beige. I have bought many things from Wayfair, and until now, I have found the company to be very fair and honest with their returns and customer service. They felt like friends and allies in the home furnishings world. I am really quite sad that their standards are dropping. Too bad. I put one chair together anyway to see if I could live with the color. The chair itself is easy to put together, and surprisingly sturdy, even given its quite streamlined appearance (which attracted me to it). It's even fairly comfortable. The mechanism for raising and lowering the seat is a bit sticky, but I got the hang of it quickly. The swivel works well. I think these chairs are an incredible value at the price. But the color is way off. So I would say if you're sure of the color, they are a fabulous buy for the money. They look cool and serve their purpose well, just don't buy the "Cream" ones if you have white in your kitchen. They just look grubby! Maybe I should exchange them for the orange?!! Update: After a lot of back-and-forth with Wayfair and the manufacturer, we have resolved this issue, and the manufacturer is sending me a replacement chair in white that is slightly different. These bar stools are beautiful! I paid a little more than I wanted to considering the seats are faux leather. We wanted 2 new stools to put in our wet bar. They came together in 1 box (both stools) in 2 parts each and were packed well and the bottom metal legs were wrapped really well!! My husband secured the seats to the bottom with no problems. I really like the “tufting” of the faux leather. I wish the back of seat was maybe an inch or 2 higher, but these chairs had the look I wanted. They are comfortable to sit on. And very beautiful.
