They have remained charged for a month and always come on and are triggered from a good distance. This product is harder to find, it did come in dirty so had to hand clean each unit, 3 out of the 50 units per defective and the magnet that came with the product is not retail user friendly. I had a spare one with handle and it worked so much better. The basic brick style magnet took some play to get unit to unlock. It does the trick but overall quality not as good as I expected. The Zyliss Easican opener gives you the functionality of an electronic can opener in a compact, easy to store design.
