I have had these a few years now. They are holding up well. They have survived two dogs so far, the current dog being a 104lb all black German Shepard. Our previous dog was a tan Pittie who could be quite rambunctious. They have cleaned well after a few stomach issues from both ends. I have a pad under the rug in the living room. I have to say that it seems to loose more fibers than the others when vacuuming and can get snags. Over all the colors are still pretty and it is nice on bare feet. When we first got them there were some hard fibers that felt like stepping on a needle. They have since gone with wear and vacuuming. Just got this, so can't speak to anything but as new. It's beautifully colored, as pictured. It's soft and thick (not a flimsy thin rug). Make sure you vacuum immediately - lots of wool. Edges lay flat, and if not, just roll them under for 10 minutes then they'll lay flat. I realize this rug will need to be vacuumed often for a while, as wool sheds A LOT at first. Bottom line is, I wanted an affordable wool or cotton rug, and I REALLY LOVE this rug! Edit - it's a year later, and this rug was done shedding after 5-10 vacuumings. It looks awesome.
