they are sturdy once you have the dirt in them, but seem a bit flimsy when empty. Be careful filling them, as I had my neighbor help me fill with his john deer and we had to go very slowly and level the dirt in layers so it didnt warp the shape. I filled them half way with sticks, old logs and leaves from the fall and then layered with top soil. They take a ton of material to fill! Very sturdy now though.. Rachael Marne. Great Falls, MT.
