When not in use it is flush with the stovetop which helps create a flat seamless flow on the countertop. When we have used it, it works very well. The blower discharges right, left, or down and slides side-to-side to ease installation (insufficient space for built-in ovens). The front access panel allows easy cleaning.

The product arrived late due to "weather" however there was no weather issues along the route. Once it arrived the package was severely damaged. There were loose screws floating around and the styrofoam used to support hood was busted and no longer protecting the unit. We have not installed the unit yet to see if it functions but there were minor metal pieces bent. The pieces bent looking salvageable so hopefully it works once installed.
