Really amazing little media cabinet. Instructions were easy to follow and assembly was very simple. The hardware was sorted in resealable bags which makes the assembly process much easier and while the included screwdriver was a nice addition, I would recommend using a full size one as the little one can really cramp up a hand. I was a little bit intimidated in how I would connect the doors, though I found just laying it on its back with the doors the hinges line up perfectly. Was also a little concerned that rough particle board was used, but with the overall design of the cabinet and its general function I don't think it's something to have much worry over at all as the board construction seems sturdy enough as it is. Finally, while not a negative factor at all, I thought this was going to end up being an espresso or dark brown, but turns out its much darker, which is what I was preferring anyways.. Nathan. I’m not a fan of MDF furniture and find most pieces are made of this material more and more. Finding this cabinet in solid wood at this price point was a winner! Ordered this in Oak along with the assembly that was completed last week. Solid wood cabinet that is beautiful and functional, and reasonably priced. The reason for 4 stars and not 5, is that the unit arrived damaged. Maybe I shouldn't blame Wayfair, because it was shipped to Hawaii using multiple carriers. So it traveled on an assortment of vehicles, handled many times, and I believe it originated on the East Coast. Wayfair provided excellent communication to keep us updated on the shipment's movement and the date of delivery during its long journey. Wayfair was also quick to provide a resolution for the damage, with 4 possibilities. We chose to have the repair made locally, and we were compensated very fairly for that expense. As seen in the photos, the left door strut repair is flawless. The unit itself is beautifully designed, well built with all solid wood, and shows the finish of craftsmanship. The only assembly was to install the four legs. We're very satisfied with Wayfair for their customer service, resolution of the problem, and this unit is a lovely addition to our home.. Michael.
