This is a very pretty clock. I got the one with the darker face...the black background. It is not as bright as it is pictured in the write up on the website. I do not think I would have bought it if I had seen it in person, but it is pretty, and I have it hung so I will keep it. I do love the pendulum. Some people had complained about loud ticking...I hear no ticking at all. It keeps good time. I think you would like it, just be aware it is not a bright clock. Perfect for a den or a study. I was disappointed to find the silver ring on the outside of the clock was plastic. Especially at that price but I found out why it cost so much. It sets itself. When the hands started moving by themselves I actually thought for a minute it was possessed but Im guessing that’s what the atomic means. I’ve really started to like the convenience.
