Natural Gas

The DVAG30L Direct Vent Wall Heater from Ashley Hearth products makes the perfect solution for zoned heating. The space-saving direct vent furnace design mounts to an exterior wall and the adjustable vent assembly adjusts to fit walls from 4-1/2 inches to 10 inches thick. For clean, comfortable heat when and where you want it, the gas flame is completely sealed inside, away from all contact with room air. Air necessary for combustion is drawn into the chamber from outside through the vent and combustion products are vented directly to the outside. Only clean, gentle heat, in continuous circulation, is delivered into the room. Windows and doors stay closed because no room air is used for combustion. The DVA30L direct vent propane wall furnace is designed to heat up to 425 Sq. Ft. and has a 25,000 BTU input.

Only used one time so far I think overall it will be great you must hold the the pilot light down for 5 or 6 minutes, at least to get it to light up. For me, the installation was a lot harder than I thought it would be. The unit I have is propane. Time will tell, but overall, I think its going to be great for heating up my small cabin. If I was rating this on the hardware alone, I would give it 5 stars. If I had to rate just the installation instructions and tech support, it would get 2. But since once it's installed it's only the hardware that counts, I'm giving it a 4. The trickiest part of the install is using the template they give you, since it determines where the holes are drilled and getting everything to line-up. Unfortunately the instructions are just plain wrong on this, since they tell you to align the lowest horizontal line on the template with the 'notch' on the bracket (this makes more sense when you're actually doing it.) But looking at the template, it becomes apparent that those two things can't possibly line-up. And to add to the frustration, there's a 10 minutes video provided that shows the step-by-step assembly. However, when they get to drilling the holes, the template is already attached to the gate-- they completely skip-over how to position it! Another frustrating aspect is that when following the instructions, they differ depending upon whether you have a left- or right-hinged gate. But they never explain how that's determined. I even phoned for tech support when I ran into issues with the template and asked "Is it considered left-hinged if the hinges are on the left when the gate is opening towards you?" The tech support guy said "It doesn't matter whether it opens towards you or away from you-- it's whether you're inside or outside the fence." (The correct answer is that it's the side the hinges are on when you're facing the gate and it's opening towards you.) Overall I like this lock very much. We keep our gate locked since our dog is not stranger-friendly, and delivery people were always trying to use the gate. But if we didn't have the keys with us, we couldn't get through either. I also like that the isn't powered (no wiring to run or batteries to wear out), and the fact that the order you press the keys in doesn't matter is good, since we can, for instance, use the same code as our alarm panel (once less code to remember) but give someone else the code numbers in a different order, so they can open the gate, but not disarm the alarm with that code.. This is a reproduction of Charles Patterson's oil painting depicting the batlle between the USS Frigate Constitution and the HMS Java, December 1812. The USS Constitution commanded by Captain William Bainbridge, exchanging broadsides with the British Frigate Java off Brazil early in the action. During nearly two hours of battle, Java was dismasted and had to surrender. Her damage was so severe that she had to be burned.
