Stacked geometric shapes that represent coral and urchins are fired into an ornamental column to create the Undersea Dark Blue Table Lamp. Made of dark clay ceramic covered in a blue reactive glaze, the lovely creation was created by a group of women who live at the border of Burma and Thailand. Their agile hands manipulate, pinch, and affix textural decorative elements to the surfaces of their artistry, making each piece they create unique.

The beautiful Cecilia Mirror grandly ornaments a space with its hand-applied mix of shells affixed artfully to its frame. These form flourishes to make the decorative shell mirror seem as if it's sprouting oceanic movement. The Cecilia comes with a cleat for hanging vertically.

This mirror is absolutely breathtaking and actually looks better in person vs. online photos. I can’t imagine the time it took to painstakingly place the thousands of shells that cover the elaborate frame. It arrived in heavy Fort-Knox-like packaging to protect it and takes 2 people to unpack. I was amazed that there were only 2 lonely little shells that had come loose and is totally undetectable. The cleat hanger that’s attached is extremely strong but unfortunately the wall hanger part was missing. Perigold offered to replace it but it would take so long and I was able to purchase a set at my local hardware store. I had a handyman hang it, but I did help him to lift it because of its awkward shape and weight. I love it in my kitchen nook but it would be suitable for any room in my home. The artful application and the dripping of the reactive blue glaze make each piece a one-of-a-kind objet-d'art with a strong French Mediterranean feel.

Hours and hours are spent by a ceramic artist to painstakingly form, pinch and shape the porcelain clay into these master forms which are not only beautiful and unusual but have the structural integrity to maintain their shapes when fired. The coup de grace is the extreme variation in subtle color and opacity of the reactive glaze - a range from dusty browns and grays to clear golden citron.

The piece arrived very quickly and the quality was what I expected. However, the coloring was different from what I expected. The online photos showed a rust color veining, but in person it was more of a "dirty, earthy green" color veining.
