My toilet buttons had to be jiggled to stop the water running. I watched a video that said where the problem probably resides. Plumbing work is like going to the dentist - no one really wants to "kick the skunk" as one fix tends to create another repair. I set aside two hours to do this. At 1430 I shut the water off. At 1435 I pulled the errant part. At 1440 I reinstalled the new part supplied by Wayfair. At 1445 I turned the water back on. Everything worked and I'd spent 15 minutes...That makes me really happy.. The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement. Solid brass body and stem with 3/8" x 16PT teeth on spline count for the handle. The cartridge thread size is 1/2-14 NPSM. Featuring an M24 x 1.0 threaded collar, and a rubber O ring at the bottom.
