This is the perfect 9x12 rug for our family room! I bought a different cheaper rug initially, and there is a sizeable difference in the quality. This was exactly what I was looking for. It is a woven rug. It is not like those velvety rugs I’ve seen. It is not luxurious, but I wanted it for an entry landing which gets a lot of traffic. The pile is not high so it shouldn’t look flattened after use. The color is dark to hide the dirt. I got the 4x6 which is exactly 4x6. Beautiful, shades of gray and charcoal. Has veins of gold... the veins are not overpowering and add a little pop. I was worried the gold wouldn't go well or be too much, yet the gold is subtle and picked up the tone of the coffee table and went well with the orange accents. Purchased in two sizes for two rooms. FYI: previous rug was a shag in the living room was 5 x 7, ended up putting the 5 x7 in the den replacing a 6 x 4, and ordered the 6.7 x 9.6 for the living room because the 5 x 7 looked too small replacing the shag... i believe the shag gave off a larger look.
