Pillow protector appears to be very well made. UPDATE: Washed for 1st time and found stitching on one case completely undone leaving a 3 inch hole that needs to be repaired. Seems completely airtight moisture resistant. Instructions stated to be sure pillow and protector are completely dry before zipper closed. This will prevent possibility of mold growth. Haven’t washed yet but it appears sturdy enough to resist the hot water washing that is recommended. These pillowcases have a very smooth, silk-like feel and look much more polished than standard cotton pillowcases. The gray color is neutral and has a nice subtle sheen without looking too shiny. The king size fits well. The hidden zipper is a nice feature because it keeps the pillow looking neat and helps the case stay in place. The fabric feels cool to the touch and comfortable for sleeping, especially if you tend to get warm at night. It also feels gentle on hair and skin, which is a plus. This is a better alternative for us than a bedskirt. our dog used to lay against the bedskirt, which made it need frequent laundering. i guess this isn’t as cozy, so he is sleeping in his bed.
