This rug is beautiful, and so soft! It looses a star because the frayed edges have threads pulling out, and I worry about its reliability over time with kids and pets. It’s also a lot lighter than pictured. I was expecting more color but it’s pretty light. It’s beautiful! I am glad I got it on sale though, as I don’t think it’s worth over 1k in the 9x12 size.. It’s a nice rug but if you have pets that like to stretch out and flex their feet, be warned that this rug pulls easily. The rug is very soft! I have had my fair share of rugs including all wool, and Ruggables, I was impressed by the softness, even though I was skeptical of all the other reviews that said the same thing, we gave the rug a couple days to unwrinkle and it has laid out pretty smoothly for the most part. The rug if light weight so was easy to handle and put down even though it was a 9x12. I knew it was low pile but I’d actually say it’s no pile - and the pattern appears more “stamped” on then woven. I can’t believe I got this rug for the price I did! I originally ordered a smaller one for my bedroom and when I took it out of the box I laid it out in the living room room, and the colors looked so good I had to order the bigger one for my living room! I originally had a white rug in here, but was so tired of everything being white white white. Love the warmth of this one! It isn’t super soft, but that is what I wanted and is as expected based on description. I have two young boys and two animals so I do not need anything that will hold onto dirt very easily. This is a good rug for the price. I got it for $40. It needs a grip pad underneath so it dont slide around. And doesn't hold up that great after I put it in the washer. It’s a nice rug but if you have pets that like to stretch out and flex their feet, be warned that this rug pulls easily.
