Unit was just put in and is working very well. I have it on high and it is still very quiet. Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after. It’s really happy with this portable air conditioner. My condo is kind of old and the air-conditioning isn’t proper upstairs so I bought two of these units for each bedroom. One was a little more expensive of a model and I believe a newer model. This one’s heavier less expensive but works better than the other one. That’s not as heavy. It cooled faster. Nice AC unit takes a while to shut off the remote had some issues in the beginning, but I think now it’s starting to work a little tough to synchronize with the remote and the AC unit but otherwise good deal for 189.
