The color and texture are WAY off from the photos. It is shown on the website as being a darker reddish hue with contrasting orange fringe on the ends and subtle lines stitched through it. The lines are non-existent and the color is far more brown with the fringe being the same shade as the rug itself. Love this in new kitchen! With forethought , I would have had a deeper drawer made next to stovetop so that I could have put two layers of these in somehow that could slide if they even make them!
