We purchased this swing set for our 6-year-old, and it has been one of the best investments we've made. It keeps her entertained for hours at a time. The size is ideal for her age, and she can safely enjoy all of the features independently while still having room to grow over the next few years. The construction feels sturdy and well-made, and once assembled, it has held up great through regular play. The swings are comfortable, the slide is a good height for younger elementary-aged children, and the climbing features provide just enough challenge without being overwhelming. Assembly took about 4 hours and 2 people, but the instructions were clear, and the finished product was absolutely worth the effort. If you're looking for a swing set that is age-appropriate, fun, and built to last for a child around 6 years old, I would definitely recommend this one. Cons: May require additional anchoring as they only provide 8 anchors. This is a great set! We were thrilled to get such a good deal too. As other reviews mentioned, it did take six hours to build and some holes needed to be adjusted, but no hardware was missing. Don’t even attempt without a drill and have a second (possibly third) person to help. The “sandbox” area underneath doesn’t seem appropriate for sand because the planks are too low. I can’t imagine it holding much sand and a kid sitting on top, but it’s fine. We weren’t putting sand anyway. The kids think it’s a little secret hangout to play with other toys. You do need to use anchors or else the set will move with enough kids on it. The anchors are VERY long, so we bought shorter ones because we are anchoring into turf and not thick sod. If you live somewhere where you can have real grass, the anchors it comes with will be fine…. I have the kids swing opposite each other to balance out their weight just in case. Slide is sturdy and fast, but is mounted well for safe landing. The wide swing can hold two kids - that’s been a hit. What I’ve noticed, it’s a set for smaller children… like preferably toddlers. My daughters are 6 and 9 and they say it feels small, but still play on it fine. My oldest will have to eventually crouch and crawl, but kids are nimble lol. My son is 3 and it’s just perfect for him! We already had a party with a bunch of kids. At one point there were about 10 kids crawling all over this thing and it held up fine! We bought this for our 6 year old and she loves it. My husband and I (well, mostly him) put it together ourselves and while it took quite a while (because there's like 8000 pieces to it), the instructions were surprisingly clear. Some of the wood was warped and didn't fit together very we, but with a few tweaks we got it to work. Make sure there's a strong person available on delivery day because the driver needed my husband's help to get it off the truck. No way I would have been able to move those boxes. So far I am pretty happy with it. It came 1 week quicker than expected. It comes in 2 very long and heavy boxes and 1 slide. I highly recommend laying out and organizing all the parts ahead of time to save time. I built the steps and rock wall in 1 hour and I am having a friend come to help with the fort.i anticipate this part may take 5 or 6 hours max.
