I love how open it is. I kind of wish this one came with the step. Im not sure if the cats would use it, though. I already have one, and it has the front opening. My cats are both good size. This ones a little bit easier. I think for cats to go in and out of. Im not sure how long the bottom piece will last as it seems to be more material than hard plastic. I have had this now for about a month and I love it. I plan on getting another one and replacing the other one as they use this one most often. I really like the size and shape of this litter box, it fits nicely into the corner. My cat had a little trouble using it at first because it scared him, but he uses it now. We have two cats and have three regular litter boxes for them to use. We wanted to add an automatic one so it would be less work for us to keep clean.
