I love this curtain so much. I was looking for something I could hang above a window mounted A/C unit and this was just perfect. You do have to fuss with the bow ties to arrange attractively. The seams are messily sewn, with lots of loose threads. I also think the weight of the curtain "Unties" them after some time. Slightly longer ribbons would have allowed for more hanging height options and a prettier bow tie but even with the challenges its still the best man for the job. I bought 4 pairs of these holdbacks for the curtains of my 4 windows in the living and dining area. Have not mounted them yet, but unpacked and inspected the package. We need to drill and anckor each of my 4 pairs. Lots of work ahead. 3 holes on each of the 8 holdbacks makes for 24 holes and anchors!!!! The material ( made in China) seems sturdy, however the depth could be bigger. But they look nice and will go well with my black finials. These were super easy to put up. I purchased two. They needed to be ironed first. One of my windows faces an alley where the house next door can see into the room. I also have 2 small dogs who destroy mini blinds from looking out windows, so I have had to find a better solution for window coverings. In this room, I ended installed electrostatic faux stained glass in the bottom glass panel of my window and replaced the mini binds with pleated shades. The shades stay down on the front window to let light in and privacy. The pleated shades stay up on the window facing the alley.
